Selma Daniel

Selma Daniel's has an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from University of Limerick. Her career has been intensively based in performances of various genres over her 15-year professional career. During this time she toured extensively with Brazilian companies in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. She had worked on cruise ships, TV Shows and Musical Theatre. In Brazil, she had also performed with Sasha Svetlov in the project "Universe" which was sponsored by the Sao Paulo City Council. In Ireland she worked with David Bolger for the 2006 Ryder Cup opening ceremony and James Hosty for the RTE documentary about Jinx Lennon. Most recently she has worked and collaborated on projects with Myriad Dance Company, Monika Biernak and Joke Verliden. In 2010 Selma was commissioned by Maximum Exposure Festival, Waterford, Ireland, to create her solo performance "A Toast".

Selma Daniel has also been recognized for working with Brazilian Traditional Dance and she was commissioned to create work for the Festival of World Cultures, Ireland, in 2007, 2009 and 2010; Cooley Collins Festival, Gort, Ireland; Droghedad Samba Festival, among others.
