Accessibility and support

We want the tutorials, downloads and classes to work for as many people as possible.

This website

The pages are built to work with a keyboard and screen readers, at phone and desktop sizes, and with browser zoom. Every tutorial step is written out in text; nothing depends on a video or a screenshot. We check pages with automated accessibility tests, but we haven't had an independent audit. If something doesn't work for you, email hello@theacademy.ie with the page and what happened, and we'll fix it or send you the content another way.

Downloads

Spreadsheets come as .xlsx (Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice) and .csv. Checklists and templates are plain text (.md and .txt) so they open anywhere and work with screen readers. The tracker doesn't rely on colour alone: the "Needs attention" column spells out the problem in words.

Live classes

When you sign up you can tell us about anything that would help you take part, such as captions, a copy of the materials in advance or a different format. Describe what would help; you don't need to tell us why. Asking never affects your place.
